Be a Hero at Air Rescue
On March 19, 2017, we went to Gatlinburg, TN to cook for the fire department and the police department. We wanted to honor them for their efforts in combating the fires of December 2016, which claimed 14 lives–to date, injured 125–and damaged or destroyed over 2400 structures. To show them support from Louisiana, we went up there to cook three classic Louisiana meals; crawfish, jambalaya, and red beans with rice
To do this took major coordination and funds. There is currently a raffle for a beautifully handmade piece of jewelry by designer Michelle Lassley. For more information, contact Grace Soule. All of the raffle’s proceeds will go to the Gatlinburg Firefighter’s Association, as well as the Wildfire Relief Fund. It was made possible due to donations from the following individuals and companies:
- My wife, Tanya, for her dedication in helping our daughter, Grace, with the raffle, cooking, and preparing the red beans and rice.
- Brian Diodene (STPFD4)
